Environmental consciousness and energy savings top the list of 2015 renovation trends, according to a recent homeowner survey conducted by BILD.
The January 2015 survey asked homeowners how they would spend $100,000 toward a home renovation, with 80 per cent reporting an interest in saving on utility costs while 68 per cent claimed to be interested in environmentally-friendly improvements.
Additional findings include homeowners’ plans for the upcoming year, attitudes toward renovating, budgets and more. Homeowners interested in learning more about home renovations are encouraged to attend the National Home Show, which has been a longstanding source for expert advice and the latest in home décor trends and renovation tips. Presented by RE/MAX and co-located with Canada Blooms, it will be taking place at the Direct Energy Centre March 13-22.
